How secure are my belongings?
At Total Storage, we understand that the security of your belongings is a top priority. Therefore, we have premium security and safety features, including 50 state-of-the-art cameras, gated access, a well-lit facility, and individualized security codes.
Is there anything I am not allowed to keep in my unit?
Yes, any contraband, any flammable, explosive or hazardous materials, food, as well as any living thing including plants, animals, or people.
How do I know what size unit I will need?
We recommend visiting our units page or contact us directly at (204) 832-8181 to discuss and give you the best idea of what would work most effectively for you.
How long do I have to sign up for?
You can move out anytime. We charge rent month-to-month, meaning that you are not locked into a fixed-term contract. We understand circumstances changes and, we do not have a minimum stay requirement but ask that you provide us with five days’ notice from the date you intend to vacate the unit.
Do you auction units?
Unfortunately, on occasion, we do need to auction a unit. If you are interested in bidding on a unit, please visit Total Storage Auction to check if we have any auctions currently taking place.
How can I protect my stuff in storage?
We recommend boxing and wrapping your belongings to keep them free of debris and protect them from being scuffed or damaged during your move-in. Do I need to sign a contract?
Yes, we have a rental agreement, but our rental agreement is charged month-to-month and is not a fixed-term contract. Giving you the flexibility to transfer into climate or non-climate controlled, change sizes, and move out on your schedule.
Are there any other fees other than the monthly rate?
At the time of your move-in, we charge a $5.00 administration fee, as well as a $45.00 security deposit, which you will get your deposit back at the time of move out granted your unit is in good condition. Additionally, we also offer additional insurance options that you can opt for at your discretion.
Do I need insurance?
Each of our units comes with $5000 of insurance. If you would like more than $5000 of coverage, we have options for higher amounts of protection starting at just $10 a month!
Do I need a credit card to rent?
No, we do not require a credit card to reserve or for billing purposes during the period of your rental. We do require a $45 reservation fee which will then be your security deposit; however, this can be paid by debit, cheque, cash, or e-transfer.
What are my payment options?
Here at Total Storage, we want to make the payment of your rent as easy as possible. Therefore, we accept E-transfers, cash, debit, or cheque. If you prefer, we automatically bill your MasterCard, Visa, or American Express.
When am I able to access my unit?
You will have access to your unit 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, at no extra cost.
